Hello and welcome to our Daytona Beach House website!
We have owned the beach house since 2015 and have done major renovations to modernize the home while maintaining a bit of a historic 1950s vibe. The house was built in 1953 and is located in a lovely area of Daytona Beach called Ocean Dunes, which is a historic district and is just 500 steps from the beach. Because of the location of the property please note that we do not do short term rentals. Our property is suitable for snowbirds who are looking for a longer term rental, businesses that need to house team members longer term in the Daytona Beach area, and medical professionals who need longer term rentals.
The benefit of renting a beach house vs. a condo is simply the space, comfort, and convenience. A lot of the condos in Daytona Beach that are offered as longer term rentals for reasonable rates tend to be in older properties. Because of that there are often issues with elevators being out of order. Who wants to schlep groceries up numerous flights of stairs or wait 20 minutes for just one elevator car that is working? One of the improvements we made to the beach house was to install a ramp that goes from the side driveway up to the back of the house. For renters with mobility challenges, the ramp enables someone with limited mobility to have much easier access.
The beach house property is centrally located beachside and just 1 mile south on A1A is a Winn Dixie and just 3 miles south is a Publix, so shopping is very convenient. Also, within a short walking distance are several beachside restaurants such as Crabby's Oceanside and Landshark. Just a 25-minute walk north up the beach is the Oceanwalk entertainment complex with Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Joe's Crab Shack, Cantina Kitchen, Ocean Deck, Maui Nix surf shop, and other shopping outlets. Also, the house is just 5 miles from the Volusia Mall with anchor stores Dillards and JC Penney and just 7 miles from the Tanger Outlet mall.
Ken and I are both dog lovers and have a French Brittany Spaniel, so if you would like to bring your four-legged-furry-friend to your rental we do permit up to 2 pets. Also, if you are military veteran please just email us a copy of your military ID at time of lease agreement and we'll be sure to provide you with a 10% veteran discount.

Crabby's Oceanside is our favorite spot to sit outside, enjoy a great meal, and an adult beverage. Our favorite Crabby's cocktails are the Crabby's Crab Trap and the
Peach on the Beach! A 2nd runner up is Landshark, which is right next door to Crabby's. Both are an easy 15 minute walk north up the beach from the house.
The Cracked Egg Diner is owned by a friend of ours and is truly the best breakfast on the beach. Just 4 miles south of the house on Atlantic Blvd. You have to try the Apple Fritters!
